Sandy Strong

Nobody ever wants to hear the words "you have cancer."Sandy is a dedicated, strong, independent single-mom with 2 grandchildren who are her world!  Those of you who know Sandy know she is selfless, strong, humble, hardworking. resilient, beautiful, smart-ass among many other qualities!  She conquered Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma 15 years ago and sadly, it has returned in a more aggressive form. So, we can add badass & fighter to her list of qualities!    She is currently at stage 3 Lymphoma and has a baseball size lump on her esophagus. Scans show all lymphnodes in her abdomen are enlarged too. She will have a spinal tap to determine if the cancer is in her spine then she will have a PET scan to determine if the cancer is in her brain. Sandy would give the shirt off her back to help someone in need.  Always volunteering, helping her friends and strangers.  Cooking meals at Ronald McDonald House, donating money to various fundraisers & helping the homeless.  She now faces a bone marrow transplant, long chemo treatments among many other exhausting tests & procedures. Given this new diagnosis she had to quit her job and head into early retirement which has thrown a wrench into her retirement plan. My hope is this campaign will help relieve her stress of the various medical bills so she can focus on treatment and beating this awful disease. Please feel free to leave a note in the journal.
