Debutante DeJah Hall- Scholarship Fund
Greetings Family & Friends:
I am
embarking upon a wonderful milestone in my life's journey. I'm participating in
the 2013 Essence de Noire Cotillion sponsored by the ladies of Delta Sigma
Theta Sorority, Inc. Southfield Alumnae Chapter. I am a "Debutante in Waiting"
and will be presented at the 2013
Essence de Noire Cotillion Ball on May
11, 2013.
The
Debutante Program and Cotillion is considered to be a "rite of passage" into
young womanhood. The overall goal of the program is to provide enrichment in leadership,
scholarship, volunteerism, as well as to expand our cultural and social horizons.
I have participated in workshops including etiquette, self-image, financial
education, and social responsibility just to name a few.
As
a debutante, I have the opportunity to engage in fundraising activities for
scholarships. The proceeds are channeled back into the community by awarding
scholarships to deserving high school students. A portion of the proceeds will
be used for me to attend college.
You can support me by making a donation on my behalf using my electronic fundraising campaign by April 20, 2013.
I
am currently a junior at Renaissance High School in Detroit, Michigan. It is my
goal to attend Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee after high school where
I intend to major in Mathematics. Your support will help me reach my goal and
provide the same opportunity for other high school students throughout my
community.
I
would also like to invite you to the Essence de Noire Cotillion Ball on May 11,
2013. You may contact my parents, Mario or Markita Hall at [email redacted] for a
formal invitation and ticket cost. Your presence will be greatly appreciated.
Thank
you in advance for your support and your contribution!
