Help to get water at Kuxtal Sanctuary in Cancun.

In July of 2020, for unforeseen reasons, we had to immediately find new land for the Kuxtal animals. In the middle of a global pandemic and in a difficult economic situation, we managed to acquire an adequate space to build the Sanctuary from the bottom up and make a fresh start.

We began to build the most important spaces near the last week of July 2020, our goal was to finish a shelter to protect the animals from the hurricanes and that would serve as a clinic for sick animals. Sadly with the arrival of the first storms we gave ourselves the task of looking for options as refuge, to move about 90 animals, hurricane Delta arrived and what we had hoped not to experience appeared almost suddenly. The refuge that helped us save all the animals was in Cancun, it was very hard but, we managed keep everyone in Kuxtal safe.

Like many, the ravages of Covid 19 have left many needs and goals unfulfilled, however, we are trying to keep all the inhabitants of Kuxtal afloat, prioritizing their food, health and improving their spaces.

Today we are living a very unfortunate situation, because donations are so scarce and we have many needs for our animals.

Therefore, we have asked for your help to launch this urgent collection because our water pump is damaged and it may take several weeks to repair, so the best option is to get a new one soon because the animals are in need of water and we need to clean their areas, in addition to be able to bathe them and it is essential as the construction continues.

We haven't stocked our little canopy with dog food in months and unfortunately, we haven’t been up to date with the grains, vegetables and hay that farm animals  in need. Also we will need to purchase a container of water as we prepare for the upcoming hurricane season
