Help for Chief Clayton Huntley

People often say that you get what you give…  In our community there are two people that have given for their entire lives and now need our help.  Most of you know Clayton and Margo Huntley.  They have both been involved in the community in many ways, with Clayton serving as the Newcastle Fire Chief for the last 30 years.

At the beginning of 2020, Clayton was diagnosed with cancer. It was determined that a bone marrow transplant was going to be his best bet.   Treatments began with daily trips to Topsham. Then, COVID came into play and while treatments continued, the transplant was postponed.  It has now been over a year and the delays have caused complications and he still has treatments remaining before the transplant can happen. His medical expenses are mounting rapidly.

The Newcastle Fire Company has started this fundraiser for our beloved Chief who has done so much for us and our community.  We respectfully ask for your help.

Can you help? All proceeds from this GoFundMe will go directly to Clayton and Margo Huntley.  If you would rather give locally, a fund has been set up at First Federal Savings in Damariscotta and donations can be dropped off at the window or mailed to First Federal Savings:  PO Box 487, Damariscotta, Maine 04543.  Please make checks payable to “Newcastle Fire Company” and in the memo line, simply write: For Chief Huntley.
