Over the last 4 years, I’ve lived in Denver, CO. It has been nothing short of a traumatic experience for me. To be blunt, I need to move. At this point it is life or death. I am trying to facilitate a move to LA by July, however the effects of the pandemic have left me unable to save money and pay bills. I have no choice but to move. I am graduating in may meaning I will no longer be getting financial aid from school which I rely on to eat every month. Due to the pandemic, working has been able to bring me so few hours I get maybe $50/week. I see no point is staying in such a traumatic place with nothing to offer me but pain. I need to live somewhere where there are people who look like me. I was almost killed in Denver last year and am still recovering from that along with a recent miscarriage. I am at a loss for what to do financially and am requesting reparations to help facilitate this move. I am worried if I do not raise this money I will not have anywhere to live, and that if I stay in Denver I will not be able to live to see the light of day. I do not have any family to help me or that I could move in with, and am trying to do something for myself that would make me happy. I am a trans, indigenous, two-spirit xicane person. Any funds recieved will be going towards a deposit and lease on a studio apartment, and moving costs to get to LA. I’ve estimated a lease cost for a low end studio apartment as the goal but will need at least 4- 5k to facilitate a lease an apartment (1st and last months rent & a deposit are estimated 3,600) and moving costs (a plane ticket/gas money, food, a moving pod) before I leave Denver.
