Hello everyone! This is Sammy, otherwise known as the girl behind the counter at voltzys rootbeer stand in moraine Ohio. Unfortunately Rick Volz passed away February 1st,2021 peacefully holding my hand. He was and still is a Dayton icon known for his smart wit, and not so PG humor but also his heart of gold. I am starting this go fund me to help pay for his funeral and cremation expenses. With all of his health issues the last several years we don’t have the money to do what we would like to do. I also plan on with whatever is left over putting it into reopening voltzys as my own. Rick Volz is and always will hold a very big piece of my heart. Voltzys has been my home away from home for as long as I can remember and Rick made sure to teach me everything that he knew and then some so one day when the time came I could keep his legacy alive. I really do appreciate all of your love and support and hope that together we can put Rick to rest along with keeping his legacy alive ❤️
