Helping Tanner Kick Leukemia!

As many may know, on January 12, 2021, Tanner Reed who is the son of Kristie Manuel and Lance Reed was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. He was sent to Women’s and Children’s and transferred to Our Lady of The Lake in Baton Rouge where his diagnosis was confirmed. With collaboration of the medical team and family, they have made the decision to be transferred to St Jude’s in Memphis for treatment and to be able to receive the best care possible. Tanner is a 17 year old Junior in high school and was preparing to enter into his Senior year. He has worked and trained so hard and for so long for football and was preparing to enter his final year of high school football. Family, friends, and football is what he lives for. As their lives have been completely turned upside down in the blink of an eye, we are asking for everyone to find it in their hearts to contribute to the financial needs that this family will need on this long journey ahead. We would love to be able to give them as much assistance as possible so that they do not have to stress or worry about the financial hardships that will come along with this journey that they are about to embark upon. Kristie has been a dedicated nurse at Opelousas General Health System for the last 5 1/2 years and recently graduated receiving her RN degree preparing to start her next journey in life. She has dedicated these last years to caring for others and not ever thinking she would be in the position of taking care of her only son who was perfectly healthy prior to this diagnosis in this way. Tanner will be their number one priority on this journey ahead. We would really appreciate and be so thankful to anyone that would like to help this family in any way possible! ❤️
