Mayfield & Chilos employee relief fund.

In 2012 Mayfield opened its doors to the community of Crown Heights; Chilos opened in 2014, and since then we’ve always striven to foster a presence that is both welcoming and take pride in the fact that many of our employees have come from the community. We’ve celebrated marriages, welcomed births and even bid a few friends farewell, and through it all we’ve always known that Mayfield and Chilos, for many, is more than just a restaurant or bar, which is why having to shutter our doors once again truly hurts. Not only is the staff of Mayfield and Chilos losing their source of income, but many are now without a place they’ve been coming to, through all the good and bad in their lives, for years. What we as a community and country are continuing to face is tragic, and with so many uncertainties, fear of losing one’s home, or inability to provide for one’s family due to the loss of livelihood, should not be among them. We are doing everything we can to make sure that those who are employed by both Mayfield and our sister restaurant Chilos, remain unscathed but know that we can only do so much. For this reason we have decided to ask you again to contribute to our GoFundMe as a pool that can be doled out to all of those who are now facing the loss of income due to the restaurant’s second closure.
