29 y/o mother fighting for her life

Lindsey Shanks was diagnosed with ductal carcinoma (aka inflammatory) breast cancer last week.  She is only 29 years old and is a wonderful, loving wife to our son Jim, and a loving and nurturing mother to their 4 year old daughter Morgan.  This type of breast cancer does not show on mammogram and has usually metastasized before being diagnosed.  It is the most aggressive breast cancer.  She is Stage IV.   It is in the bone also.   She has a PET scan on July 6 to see if it has gone to her liver or brain.  She is literally battling for her life.

Her husband Jim, had a heart stent in May for a 90% blockage and has Stage II emphysema.  Lindsey has Blue Cross/Blue Shield insurance but it will not cover many of her expenses.  She will have to travel for treatment since they live in a small town in Kansas.  They are in low income housing and are just getting by.  Now Lindsey has to quit her job.  She has been a personal care giver to a patient with a terminal illness.  She is a truly caring and loving person who wants to be there for her daughter as she grows up.

All funds will go directly to funding day to day family costs involved with her treatment.  Anything you can do to help will be sincerely appreciated.  I am Jim's mother, Pam, and they have asked me to handle any donations as they are involved with medical difficulties.  I would be transferring any donations directly to them.
