Un adiós a “Lolo”

Un gran campeón se nos a adelantado. Our family has been dealt another heartbreaking loss. Our father was born in a small ranch, La Mesa, just outside of Leon, Guanajuato. He came to Arizona when he was 16 and started his journey to build a better life. He took a job as a dishwasher and worked up to a cook, established residency to eventually become a naturalized citizen with his wife Justina. After 17 years in the U.S. he purchased a home for his family that they still own. This man came from nothing and built an amazing life and raised a beautiful family. He was affectionately known to his friends and family as “El Cocinero” and “Lolo”. Never in our wildest dreams did we think he would be another lost soul to COVID. We know these are very trying times for everyone, and any help that can be provided with will be greatly appreciated. Between medical bills and arrangements, our family finds ourselves in a position to humbly ask for any support that can be given. Our father was an amazing man, dearly loved by so many and will be greatly missed. He had a smile that would light up a room and welcomed family and friends with love and a cold “cheve”. We lost a beautiful soul and he will now join his youngest son to look over their loved ones.
