Help Darlene Larusic see!

Hi everyone I am fundraising on behalf of Darlene Larusic. On January 3, 2020 she was found on the floor by her son and rushed to the hospital to shortly be diagnosed with a catastrophic stroke. After a weeks time of not knowing what was going on it was diagnosed that her lupus had attacked her brain and it wasn’t a stroke. She remained in a coma until the middle of February. When she woke she was unable to see had poor movement of her arm and legs. It was Covid time so she was allowed to go home with very limited access to anyone or any help in anyway due to businesses and locations shut down. It has been over a year she has been diagnosed with atrophy of the optic nerve. Meaning she will be blind and there is no cure. She has seen Nuro ophthalmologist and they suggested that she get help with vision aids such as high vision computer high vision glasses and they are very costly. This will allow her to have more light therefore she may be able to see her grandchildren and people who she misses dearly. It will not give her her vision the same as you or I but it will allow her to see shapes and little bit of recognition of faces. We realize that it is very tough times for everybody with the loss of jobs and COVID-19 however anybody that could help in anyway how small or large it is greatly appreciated God bless and take care Stacey
