Give To Oklahoma On My 28th Birthday

Tax deductible
On May 31st I will be turning 28 years old, and right now the families of those in need in Oklahoma are heavy on our hearts and minds. My wife, kids, and I recently moved from Oklahoma up here to Washington to be closer to family.

We will always cherish our time in Oklahoma. Our 3 beautiful kids were all born in Oklahoma, and my wife and I started our lives together there as well. We made many special connections and friends through LifeChurch.tv in Stillwater. There will always be a special place in our heart for Oklahoma.

Since we can't be there right now helping I wanted to do two of the best things we can do. Number one is pray faithfully for the families, volunteers, and emergency personnel. The second thing we can do is give money to help those families. I have decided to "donate" my birthday and raise $2,800 which is $100 per year of my life. To raise these funds I am using Facebook, Twitter, and my email subscribers.

On top of whatever is raised here my family and I are pledging $2,800 of our own to go to Convoy of Hope which is the charity we have carefully selected to work with on this. So all money donated here by you will go directly to Convoy of Hope and my family and I are also donating $2,800. So if we reach our goal we will be giving $5,600 to Oklahomans that need help. That can buy a lot of food, bottles of clean water, blankets, supplies for clean up, etc. Your donation can help a ton.

We have selected Convoy of Hope (www.convoyofhope.com) because they are an International relief organization that really gets it. Unlike many other charities that sadly squander the money you give, they do a great job of making sure it gets into the hands of people that need it. Since we are here in Washington, we don't know the specific needs, but they do. It also helped that our old church LifeChurch.tv recommended them as the relief organization to give to.

Here is a little bit more about Convoy of Hope:

Convoy of Hope is considered a "first responder" organization in disaster relief. With a fleet of tractor-trailers, a 300,000-square-foot warehouse, a high-tech Mobile Command Center and through a scalable distribution model we have been heralded for quickly providing resources and help to victims of disasters worldwide.

They are in Moore, Oklahoma right now and your donation can go to helping people right now! If you can donate $5, $28, $100, or anything it does count and it does make a huge difference down there. I hope you will consider helping those in need!

The best birthday gift I could imagine would be to see $2,800 raised to help families in need. Remember, we are already pledging $2,800 of our own support as well to this amazing organization so we want to see over $5,000 raised to help Oklahomans.

On a side note for those that reading this from my email list and you want to get a personal and detailed review on how you can improve your web presence any donation over $100 will automatically qualify you for such a review. Just send your details to me at my website after making your donation.
