Hello I am Asking for Help For my Son Trysten Thomas He is only 14yrs old, On The Evening of 12/25/2020, I had got the disturbing call That my son was hit by a vehicle while walking to the store with his cousins to get snacks. While I am waiting for more information from the police department. I have talked to The witness that seen the whole incident and I was told that while the witness and her fiancé were driving down cedar street in Lansing Michigan and seen a couple boys run across the road so she stopped because she seen two boys still waiting to cross so she stopped because there were no other vehicles around put her four ways on and waved them to cross well the boys were like no go ahead well wait and at that point there was another car coming in the same lane The witness was stopped in and that second car slowed down and stopped behind her so she told the boys go ahead and cross please before more cars come and at that moment a third car was approaching in the same lane The witness and other car were stopped in and had four-ways on, So my son and his friend went to cross and as soon as they did The 3rd car got over in to the other lane and hit my son and his friend and they flew 3yrds. She did not attempt to slow down or yield to the 2 vehicles stopped and four ways on The witness said she most definitely was going over the speed limit and did not attempt to slow down or yield to the 2 cars stopped in the lane and flew around them. The boys were rushed in ambulance to Sparrow Hospital and my Son Is still currently in PICU were he remains in critical condition and his brain bleed and swelling in brain is stable he is able was able to identify us until yesterday his sodium levels dropped he wasn’t speaking or saying anything when asked a question. I’m asking for help in the recovery of him as of right now I’m unemployed due to COVID and now I can’t even think about a job because of the recovery for my son he’s gonna need physical therapy and speech therapy and not sure what else if u could please help I don’t know the financial burden for traveling cost food, gas And home medical supplies With everything in my soul I thank any and Everyone in advance.
