TORRES-CHRISTIANSON GLASS FIRE FAMILY FUND
During this season of giving, I’d like to bring attention to a very kind hearted, close knit family that lost everything, including their family home in Deer Park on September 27th.
The Glass Fire devastated our entire community, but this family in particular are struggling to get ahead. Mike and his wife Luz, along with their daughter Ileene have been scarred by the tragedy of this horrific fire. Their family have been separated due to housing. Illene is now living in Santa Rosa, & her parents & 2 dogs have temporary housing in Angwin. Luz just had Covid-19. She tested positive on Nov 20th which turned into pneumonia. Her recovery can take months. Mike has been taking care of her. They have no income and very little savings.
Ileene had just gotten a used Mini Cooper car, but had not driven it yet when the fire broke out and it was destroyed. She is having difficulty getting around. She was enrolled at the Santa Rosa Junior College but decided to take this semester off due to the inability to focus on her studies as a result of this fire. Ileene graduated from St Helena High School 2019. She was Homecoming Queen. Her family go back many years with Mike’s parents who were well known in this community.
Please open up your heart and help relieve this family from worry and stress this Christmas. Every dollar adds up. Let’s see what we can do to help rebuild their lives and let them know we care. Thanks so much!
