Please help Archie get hip surgery

Donation protected
Hello my friends. I will start by saying that I am acutely aware of how tough it is out here and too many of us are suffering like never before. My puppy, Archie, was rescued from a puppy mill and has now been diagnosed with a degenerative disease common in certain overbred dogs. Archie is in desperate need of hip surgery. We took him to the vet this past weekend because he was crying and limping for 2 days straight. It started intermittently but began to escalate until he couldn’t stand on it at all. After many expensive images the vet diagnosed him with a disease that causes necrosis in the ball and socket of his back hip/leg. There is no cure other than surgery. My heart is breaking because I know he is in pain and he’s no longer using the injured back leg at all. The surgery to fix it is about $1700 from what his vet estimated. I have no way of being able to afford this. It’s more than what I get in disability each month. Any funds received will go directly to Archie’s surgery and if there is money left over I will use it to get my medications filled. I have been on disability for a few years due to severe spinal injuries. I’m now sacrificing my much needed meds to pay Archie’s vet bill. The only person I have that is capable of helping me is my mom, who is about to run out of UIB in a week or so. She is also on SS but we all know that is an entire months pay. We are used to budgeting but at the onset of Covid things got progressively worse. She and I are now unable to afford every day necessities, and worse of all, I am struggling to take care of my puppy, Archie. None of this is his fault. I’ve never made a go-fund-me and never thought I would. I absolutely hate to ask anyone for help anytime (especially in times like these) but I am desperate to save Archie’s little leg. Any assistance you can provide would be a appreciated more than you know. I believe in the power of decency and compassion and have always strived to be the one helping. This situation places me on the other side of that spectrum, which is not a proud moment for me. I promise to pay it forward the second I am able. Thank you for taking the time to listen and please keep you and your families safe this holiday season. Times are tough but I have forever believed that love and compassion will always win.
