Moving Costs

Hey y’all. As most of you know I’ve recently moved into an apartment in downtown Baltimore after months of essentially living on the road (many can attest to how messy my car had gotten in the process). While I’m completely blessed and excited to have stable housing to call my own, I’m also starting to find myself pretty stressed out about one-time moving costs. To put it simply, I’m starting completely from scratch. That means new furniture, pots, pans, shower curtains, soap dispensers, you name it. To help alleviate some of the stress of scouring the inter webs for endless hour looking for individual pieces to put together I’ve decided to go with a furniture store that already had sets together to take the guess work out of it for me. The total cost for the entire apartment plus delivery is around $3,200. It’s not that much when you think about it. Dining room. Living room. 2 bedroom sets. It’s a lot of stuff, and they have financing opportunities that I may qualify for, but my credit has been hit quite a lot over the past week or so that I’ve been applying for apartments. Truthfully I’d rather try and get the funds to pay for it all upfront on Tuesday to avoid yet another credit hit and yet another monthly bill. Anything that I raise beyond the $3,200 will go towards offsetting other one-time costs (like the $1300 I spent at target getting quality things that will last and not have to be replaced in mere months.) I know it’s already Sunday, but I have hope that I can raise the initial $3,200 by Tuesday morning so I can walk in there and have a filled apartment just in time for the holidays. Thanks in advance.
