Roger Dale’s medical expenses

My dad, Roger Chreene was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis several months back and was given 2 years or less to live unless he got a lung transplant. We could not let that happen he deserves many many more years here with us. Over the past several months my parents have made many trips to downtown Houston for appointments/testing and to lung rehab several times a week. The pulmonologist believes his disease has developed after many years of being exposed to chemicals at work and smoking. (My dad has been smoke free for almost 2 years now ) It has been a long stressful road for us all. So needless to say the bills are already stacking up. As most of you may know, Saturday my parents got THE CALL we have all been waiting on. They found my dad a match and he got a new set of lungs. Dad is still in ICU very sore but recovering well. My parents will have a long road ahead of them with his recovery process. Thank you all for your kind words and prayers. I know God will see us through the entire way. A HUGE shout out to this lady I am so proud to call my MOM. She has bent over backwards for my dad and has done everything in her power to make this happen. I couldn’t be any more proud to call these two my parents. Please pray for her in the days to come while she is taking care of my daddy. I know my dad will have to be in the hospital for at least 2 weeks and he will still have to be in close proximity to the hospital for at least 3 months. Looks like my parents will be temporary Houstonians...who would have ever thought Roger Dale would be staying in the big city. I am doing this because I know my parents would never ask for help, but are also ALWAYS the first ones to help others. I can name numerous horseshoe tournaments my dad has put together to help raise money for others within our community. Now is the time we repay him for his kindness(even though they would never expect anything in return). The many trips back and forth to Houston and medical bills have already caused a strain on their finances and this is just the beginning. There will be many more trips and medical bills acquired over the next year. On top of medical bills and expenses already spent, we are also making some repairs to their house in order for my dad to come home to a safe & healthy environment. Any little bit helps and is appreciated more than you know. If you can’t help with donations please please help with the prayers. They have worked miracles already!
