Hi, Tom Shcherbenko here. As most of you know, I've been elected to be a delegate to the Democratic National Convention (DNC) for Bernie Sanders.
The money I raise will be used to participate in the DNC in Philadelphia, July 25th - 29th. Bernie delegates are requested to stay with their state delegations and the NY State Delegation will be at the Loews Hotel. Between the hotel (the cheapest room for the convention is more than $540 per night, including all taxes), meals, parking and transportation it will cost over $2500 to attend.
I'm a retired teacher living on a fixed (actually shrinking) income. Being a DNC delegate has been a lifelong dream -- ever since I watched "Sunrise at Campobello" when I was ten. It's really too much for me to afford, so I'm reaching out to you for help. I am incredibly thankful for this opportunity and know that my input at the convention and what I take home from it will be valuable.
