Dream Trip to Asia / Long Lost Roots

Hello Dear family, friends and Donors,
My name is Jessica R. I am married & a mother of two. I will be 39 years old this year. I work full time to support my family and have since the second I graduated from college. I have longed to do some international travel and visit Southeast Asia to reconnect with my lost roots since I was a teen. It never seemed like the right time to go do such a trip. I always felt like life's responsibilities wouldn't allow for such a trip, instead living a frugal life.
I am a firm believer in, "It take a village to raise a family". I am thankful everyday for the village of family that surrounds us, supports us with childcare, food needs, financial help & everyday mental happiness. Thank you dear people...you all know who you are. So I am reaching out a little further this time and am asking for a donation as little as $5 to fund a dream trip for me to check off my bucket list. As much as we would love to take the whole family financially its not possible at this time.
I've been going through some personal growth over the last year and getting those intense feelings of "LIFE IS TOO SHORT". So as a response to this feeling I have a seriously strong urge to do some world traveling I never got a chance to do when I was younger.
I am planning a dream trip to Asia with two girlfriends. One of the friends lived in the Philippines for 20 years, which is one of the reasons I want to travel with this group. It's not very often a person gets an opportunity to international travel with someone from the area of destination. We will site see and experience parts of Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam & maybe the Philippines if time permits. This is a life changing experience for me & I hope to connect with my Filipino roots. The funds that you so generously donate will help pay for my airline ticket, traveling from country to country, lodging and food. The biggest expense will be for airline tickets. The rest will fund basic food and lodging which is half the price of the airline tickets. My goal is to raise $2500.00-$3000.00 by June 2013.
Please help me fund a trip to Asia to get in touch with my heritage.
I hope to keep a blog of some kind for people to follow along with my experience.
