Help us replace Nick’s stolen knives

Donation protected
Friends & family in the service industry and beyond, this year has not been fair to anyone. It hurts me to even be in this position, but tonight Nick’s knife bag was stolen in a smash and grab on Chapel Street in New Haven, with approximately $600 dollars worth of his knives and chef equipment. I am blessed to have friends and family that are safe in this pandemic, but it’s been a rough year not only for us but for every one of us. We have all experienced great loss this year; personal, emotional & financial and it feels selfish to even be upset over something like this. Especially when there are others in worse situations than ours. Nick is my rock, and has been strong for me through this time of uncertainty. It breaks my heart that after loosing our beloved dog Lola, a wind storm causing damage in the backyard of the home we put our entire savings into, and having to reevaluate our entire careers due to the pandemic that he even has to deal with anything trivial like this. His livelihood was in that bag, and I want to be strong for him but I can’t replace what he’s lost right now. If Nick has ever made you food that puts a smile on your face, think about donating a dollar to put towards new chef knives. But don’t feel obligated if you can’t, we are all experiencing unprecedented hardships at this time. I just want to show him that we can be strong for him too, this is a shitty situation but in the end we are safe and items are replaceable. I love you all, let’s stay positive and look forward to a better 2021.
