Keratoconus eye surgery

I am raising money for my son as he has a progressive eye disease called keratoconus and the treatment is not covered under OHIP. If it is not looked after he could go blind. It is a disease that affects one in one thousand and usually found in adolescents. There was a documentary done last year on CBC about another young male in Toronto and his was not covered either. I am concerned about my son and his eyesight and I want him to have the procedure it is $3,600.00 for each eye. It has to be done soon as his eyesight is so bad that he cannot function on a daily basis as we can. My only concern is getting his eyesight to a mark that he can function. With the procedure he will be able to see better but it will never be perfect but the progression will halt.
