Lucy & Debb’s walk

On 12th August 2020, our Princess Lucy Jay was tragically taken from us at just 18 years old after suffering from a heart attack. She had been recovering from a stroke in the weeks leading up to her death and she fought like a warrior right until the end. Lucy had a heart of gold. She had spent the last year of her life coming out of sixth form to care for her mother Debb, who was extremely poorly with heart failure, and help support her younger sister Rylee. Lucy went to the end of the earth to ensure that Debb was safe and well looked after whether she was at home, or in the hospital. Whether this meant ensuring she took the correct medication on time or just felt stable enough to sleep at night. Alongside the caring for her mum, Lucy always made Rylee the happiest little girl and maintained normality for her regardless of everything she was faced with, taking her to school every morning and picking her up, making her meals and even taking her to feed Santa’s reindeers on Christmas Eve. After Lucy’s passing, her mother Debb didn’t cope very well after hearing the news about her daughter, she unfortunately didn’t see a point in continuing her fight and she lost her battle on 7th October 2020, which has meant two incredible people have been taken from us in such a short space of time. We will be walking up Snowdonia in their memory, with the date yet to be revealed, (whilst wearing unicorn onesies!) and we hope we can have your support through donations and shares which will go towards a bench, or plaque in memory of our warriors, Lucy and Debb.
