Hello. My name is Katelyn and Adam is my son Brecken's uncle. After talking to Kellee Adam's mom I think it is right to start a GoFundMe page. Brittany Ashmore (Eric) who is Adam's sister-in-law is helping me put this together as well.
Adam is currently fighting for his life after a tragic single vehicle wreck on Monday night 11/2/2020. He was airlifted to a hospital where Adam was unresponsive. He was put on a ventilator immediately. His C4 vertebrae is fractured, he has a collapsed lung, broken right leg, 3 broken ribs, broken clavicle, broken jaw and hemorrhaging of the brain. His brother Eric drove up to Duluth immediately after receiving the call and has been at his bedside. Adam's parents Kelle and Paul were living the winter months in Texas and have since come back to be by Adam's bedside. Adam has already had his right leg surgery and his lung is inflating with the help of the ventilator. MRI's and CT scans and flushing out Adam's lung is complete as well. Adam unfortunately, does not have medical insurance. With this unexpected hospital stay it will be a large burden on Adam and his family. We are currently unsure on the amount of time he will be spending in the hospital. Adam is getting amazing care from the staff and this is where he needs to be to heal. This family has already gone through the loss of their daughter/sister, Katie back in 2005. I could never imagine the pain of a child passing and now watching your child fighting for his life.
With your help we can ease some of the emotional burden for what is ahead. Adam has a long road to recovery in front of him and with our prayers and financial help we can help release some of this family's worry.
