Jamal’s Medical relief Fund

Jamal Bernard was recently injured in a car accident and was brought to the ER in an ambulance, as a level 2 Trauma patient. The doctors preformed surgery for his injuries. This year Jamal declined the insurance from his job, because he has no significant past medical history and hasn’t needed medical care for over 10 years. All expenses from his treatment will have to be paid out of pocket. Jamal works in the Neonatal ICU which has had a recent low census so he used a lot of his paid leave, he now will have to take leave from work without pay. Given his injuries he will also have to pay for rehab to give himself the opportunity to work in the future. If you know Jamal personally you know he’s a US Air Force veteran and Peds/NICU nurse that has always enjoyed serving his country and his community.
