Fix a Car, Save a Senior

I’m Kathryn Hyatt, a 70 year essential worker who needs her car to make ends meet. A couple of months ago I was in a fender bender that took out my right side turn signal. Insurance information, ID’s and phone numbers were exchanged. The other party conceded responsibility for the accident. Things seemed above board when I contacted his insurance company. Many weeks later his insurance company informed me his insurance policy was not in force at the time of the accident. I wouldn’t receive reparations to fix my car. The offending party has ignored my text messages and phone calls. Although my car still runs it will never pass inspection this month, November 2020. I’m in a tough situation, as I don’t even have enough credit to fix my car. I work as an independent contractor making less than minimum wage most days. Please help if you can. I have been working nonstop, even through the early days of the pandemic. Social security and food stamps isn’t enough to make ends meet. Your kindness will be much appreciated.
