Help Zach Get Back On His Feet!
Donation protected
On October 10th, 2020, the bullet of an unknown, concealed, assailant critically injured my son as he emerged from a club in the predominantly black neighborhood of Parkhill in Denver, Colorado. The place where I grew up was once an upwardly mobile, working class enclave of progressive African Americans, eager to participate in the economic and social gains after the turbulent struggle of the revolutionary 60's. The Parkhill I knew is no more. The good friends, good neighbor, pride and community is no more.
My son did not deserve a life altering bullet in his back. He is pursuing a certification in Event & Theatre Technology, he is an aspiring rapper, a thespian, and a hard worker that is still gainfully employed. His journey back to good health will be long, but above all he is a fighter! Just like his Mom. Due to Zachary being shot in his back, he has been undergoing physical therapy to learn how to walk again. Our home will need altering, with two flights of stairs to climb, we need to get him back to comfortable surroundings, and continue the physical therapy to bring him back to being fully functional. Please help us get Zach back on his feet and keep us in your prayers! Any donation will be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
