Friends, paramedics, and doctors worked extensively to try to save his life. Unfortunately on October 17th the family was notified by the neurosurgeon that he was not showing any signs of brain activity. At approximately 5:15pm the family made the decision to remove Jerry from life support, he was pronounced deceased at 5:53pm.
Jerry did not have health or life insurance at the time of his accident and death. He was the main financial provider for his wife Vicki and granddaughter Autumn, whom they were raising after the death of Jerry’s daughter Kayla 2013.
The funds raised through this effort will help to relieve the financial strain that Vicki is facing during this difficult time. Vicki herself is recovering from shoulder surgery and is currently unable to work and struggling to get by on a fixed income through worker’s compensation.
Funeral plans are in the works and the family plans to bury Jerry near his beloved daughter Kayla as well as both of his parents. We thank everyone for their support, prayers, and thoughts during this difficult time.
Sincerely,
The family of Jerry, Vicki, and Autumn
