This year, I’ll be running my third and final NYC Marathon on November 1.
I originally hoped this would be the year I would beat my PR. Now, I’ll be very happy just to make it across the finish line! And I’m hoping you’ll give me a little extra motivation by supporting a cause that has been close to my heart for many years, Save-A-Sato.
Satos, or street dogs, are living on the streets and beaches of Puerto Rico. Save-A-Sato has worked tirelessly to rescue these dogs, providing them with food, shelter and medical care.
My love for rescue dogs and cats is personal. I’ve been the very proud parent of two Satos. Over the years I’ve helped coordinate transportation for dozens of Satos from Puerto Rico to the mainland to help them on their way to adoption into loving homes. I’ve seen what a difference a second chance can make, which makes running these 26.2 miles for Save-A-Sato especially meaningful to me.
If you can, please make a donation. Your support will help the Satos and give me some much-needed motivation to get through those final miles!
One last marathon. 26.2 miles. And hopefully, a lot more Satos getting the happy endings they deserve. ❤️
