25yo partner suffered AVM rupture

Hello Everyone
I wanted to set up this campaign for my partner Jesse. His mum has also set up a fund which will be used to help all the family as well as Jesse, we thought it would be a good idea to set up a second one will be used exclusively for Jesse and his bills/medical expenses.
What happened:
On Tuesday the 6th of March he got out the shower and was getting dressed when an AVM in his brain ruptured, causing blood to flood his brain and was starting approach his brain stem. Luckily his sister (who lives with us) was home at the time and heard him calling out, she rushed into our room to find him collapsed against the wall frothing from his mouth, struggling to breathe and on the brink of consciousness. She applied basic first aid until the ambulance arrived. I arrived at the hospital not long after he was brought in, the neurosurgeons came in and spoke to us and said that the bleed was very severe and if they didn’t perform emergency surgeon within the hour he was doing to die. His mum who lives 6 hours away was driving trying to get here as quickly as possible, but was out of reception at the time. So we had to call his grandmother to give consent to perform the surgeon, which she gave. We were told that the surgery was very dangerous and the success rate wasn’t good and even if it successful the possible risks were abundant including him going into a vegetative state. Fortunately the surgery was successful and they managed to get a large amount of the blood out of his skull, they also took out a large piece of his skull in order to take any pressure of his brain from further swelling.
The latest news that we have is that there are some spots on his MRI showing damage in his brain stem (luckily the rest of his brain seems to be unaffected). This is a concern though because the brain stem controls a lot of important functions including breathing, controlling heart rate, movement and consciousness.
We’ve been told that we just have to wait and see how he goes over the next 3 months and see what function he gets back and fingers crossed he makes an almost full recovery.
Update 17th March: He has opening his eyes and is responding to commands such as squeezing his hands and moving his toes. He’s cried the last two days that he has seen me and I’ve started doing a bonding technique with him where I say “squeeze my hand for love” a way for us to show each other love while he can’t speak to me.
Update 22nd March:
He is amazing all the doctors so far. He is now completely breathing on his own, can move all his limbs (right side a little less so, but a lot more now than at first). He has started smiling at people and following commands such as sticking out his tongue etc. He isnt quite able to swallow yet, but the doctors have said once he is able to do that he won't need to have his tracheostomy anymore.
Bit about Jesse:
Jesse is the type of person who walks into a room and lights the whole room up, he is happiest when he is making other people laugh even if it is at his own expense. He is also a very smart compassionate individual who takes onboard everyone else’s stress and worries. He believes that if you’re not happy and enjoying life then you’re not living.
Despite his amazing personality coupled with his good looks, he’s always felt very insecure and unloved, I hope that one day he can see the amount of love people have shown him during this time and know that he is more valued that he could ever have imagined.
I met this wonderful boy when I was 18 and he was 20 (I’m now 23 and he’s 25), we fell in love almost instantly (the night we met we stayed up until 8am talking about everything from harry potter to avatar the last airbender), I didn’t know it then, but I had just met the person I’d want to spend the rest of my life with. Jesse and I began living together almost immediately and have been inseparable ever since.
He currently works at one of the most renowned restraunts in Adelaide, who are all devastated by the news and finding it hard to come to terms with what has happened to such a talented, intelligent and beautiful boy, who was starting to excel in all aspects of his life.
Recently we decided that we wanted to do a certificate III in Captive Animal management together as we both have a huge love for animals and want to make a difference in the massive population declines around the world.
I’ll attach photos and videos of Jesse so everyone falls in love with him as much as I have.
What this fundraiser is for:
Unfortunately before Jesse had this accident he had a few debts he was trying to pay off and at this stage we’re looking at months of rehab and we aren’t too sure what the costs of all that are going to be. Also he doesn’t have ambulance insurance so we’re going to get a huge ambulance bill for him sometime soon. Ideally I’d like to have all his bills and debts payed off for him so that he doesn’t have to worry about anything like that, as well as have some money there for any additional services like rehab etc that he may need. I’ll work as hard as I can to provide all this for him, but as I am studying myself and trying to be there for him, I can’t work as much.
I love this boy more than anything and I’ll be there for him whatever he needs, I’ve been sticking at uni (have 7 months left) despite how hard it is right now purely so I can get a good job, which will help him with whatever treatments and costs he has in the long run, but obviously in the short term things are a struggle. We have just over a month left in the place we’re living, so I’ve been paying his portion of the rent as well as getting the house packed for moving.
No help is too small and I’ll keep updating this page on how Jesse is going, and even if you can’t support, please share this <3, lets show this boy how loved he is.
