Medical Costs for Ellie

So, I have been super public about all of the details, but here goes. I went to the E.R. almost four months ago for pain and blood in the urine. It was determined something weird was going on and I needed to see a Urologist. They had seen a bump on my kidney in one of the imaging test but it turned out nothing was there and was just probably a little swollen. Instead, they thought I had a very rare auto-immune condition. The pain (and blood) has only increased over the last few weeks. It is blinding at times. Naturally, I was being tested for a very rare, very obscure auto-immune disease and while doing so they found a tumor in my urethra.

They determined, fortunately, that it is not cancerous. However, that doesn't mean we're done. I have a whole assortment of tests and I'll definitely need surgery (which could have me miss work for anywhere from 1 to up to 6 weeks). I have to miss work for all of these tests and appointments and follow-ups. And insurance isn't going to cover the vast majority of these things. So I need some help. I can't pay these bills on my own. There's no way. The minimum cost I'm looking at in medical bills alone is $30,000. I could use all the help I can get. It may end up being even more, but this will help for now.
