Help Kevin’s quality of life improve

Donation protected
Hi everyone! I feel silly doing this, but I am at a point where I’m okay asking for help. As most of you know, I have had my cat Kevin for the last 16 years. I got him when I was 15, and he is my world. Even though he’s an old man, his veterinarian said he still has a lot of life left in him, but we need to get some health issues in control to help him to be able to have a much longer life. Unfortunately, his medication and especially his prescription food is very expensive. His food alone every month is about $140.00, and then his medication will vary, but it all adds up. Over the last six months or so, I noticed that Kevin lost A LOT of weight. He went from being a chunky kitty to a skin-and-bones kitty. A few weeks ago, I took him to the vet and she ran tests and diagnosed him with hyperthyroidism and stage 1 kidney disease. When I asked her if it was time to start thinking about putting him down, she said “absolutely not,” and explained to me that if I can give him the kidney prescription food and medication twice a day, his kidney disease will most likely improve, and his thyroid will get back to normal. Unfortunately, with COVID and stuff, times are tough in regards to finances, and I could use any little bit of help to be able to help me afford the extra cost of the prescription food and medication, at least just through these next few months. If you’re able to help, please understand that I am forever grateful, as he is my whole world and my baby Thank you so much!
