Give Austin a chance

Hello Everyone, This is Austin our 7 year old German Shepard. We have had him since he was a baby. We have been through a lot and he’s a BIG part of our family he is my fur baby. Recently we noticed he wasn’t feeling well and was not acting his normal self. He stopped eating and we saw that he was having problems with his bowel movements. We took him to the veterinary hospital and we were told he is in bad shape and will need surgery on his colon or he will not make it. Austin is hurting and we want to do what is best for him and also we want to keep him around so our two kids can grow up with him. He has been my family’s protector especially when I was away on deployments. He’s not that old and he is fighting this...you can see it in his eyes and he still has a lot to give. Despite his pain he still wants to go on short walks & he gives me his paw. He still wants to go on jeep rides. We are asking for help so we can give him the fighting chance he deserves to get through this and get back to being the happy big puppy he is.
