Medical expenses for Honey

As most of you know, my mom, Honey, has been in the hospital for almost 2 weeks now. She has had problems with diverticulitis in the past but nothing this serious. On Sept 27th she was rushed to the E.R. in severe pain on my left side. After a CT scan the dr informed us that she had a perforation (rupture) in her colon. When this happens it causes waste to spill & causes severe inflammation of the lines of the organs & walls of the abdominal cavity. This causes severe pain, nausea, & vomiting. The dr's immediately started her on different IV antibiotics & fluids. The goal was to control the infection & pain to avoid emergency surgery & a colostomy bag if possible. For days her body was not responding to the antibiotics but they finally found one that worked. Although she is starting to feel better, she must continue to be on IV antibiotic infusions after she leaves the hospital. The DR will place a PICC line IV in her arm that she will go home with. She will have to drive daily to the infusion center to get the antibiotics. This is just the beginning. After the infection clears up, she will have a colectomy to remove her sigmoid colon. The problem we are facing now is that she does not have insurance. This is her life so we will come up with the means however possible. She has some charities that have looked into her story but so far no one has been able to help. She is unable to work and will need to drive everyday. Bills and gas money will be difficult to come up with. My goal is to just get her some help here from the people who love her most. Although she did not want me to do this because she doesn’t want to ask for help, the truth is she needs it. If you can donate anything to her cause we will appreciate it.
