Yakovlev Family Fire Relief

This evening our neighbors Gennadiy & Viktoriya Yakovleva and their daughters Julia & Maria lost their home and belongings in a tragic housefire. We are so incredibly grateful that everyone is safe and unharmed. The fire was discovered by a daughter, while the rest of the family was buying groceries, who wisely left the house and alerted a neighbor. Despite the neighbor's and my husband's efforts to extinguish the fire while it was small, it soon grew out of control and very dangerous. By the time the fire department arrived, the entire inside of the home was in flames. Their home, vehicles, memories and almost all of their belongings are irreparably damaged or lost.

Gennadiy and Viktoriya are originally from St. Petersburg, Russia, and have no family here for support. They have been living in the US for many years. Their beautiful family is beloved in our neighborhood. They are friendly, generous, and have worked incredibly hard for everything that they have. 

At this time I don't know the details of what they will receive to compensate for their loss, but I'm so thankful that so many are generous to help in the meantime. Donations that you are able to provide willl help the family with immediate needs such as clothing, temporary housing, school supplies, personal needs, etc.
