The New York Songwriters Circle is the oldest and most established showcase in the country dating back from 1991. Directed my platinum selling singer songwriter, Tina Shafer, It is held at the Historical Bitter End. The Circle is an "in the round" showcase for both new and high profile songwriters. It has created a community for songwriters through out the world and been the early platform for many of today's Grammy winning artists. The "Circle" offers education to audiences on what it's like to write a song and "bring it to life". Often, many of the songs are familiar hits we recognize and we get to hear the stories behind them. We are a grass roots organization that has been primarily self funded. We offer our artists, video, photography, PR and a venue; a place for community. We are celebrating our 25th Anniversary this year and are looking for funds to support a new website and anniversary celebration, including photography, video, PR and travel expenses. The anniversary will be held Novemeber (17th) at the Bitter End, 2016. A TAYLOR guitar will be given to one of our lucky donors.
