Time To Get My Second Prosthetic Socket!

So, we all know about my medical drama over the past year. I’ve dealt with a blood clot, causing my left leg/foot to become ischemic and die, then trying to save my leg, losing toes, becoming septic, having a two-part surgical amputation of my leg, followed by a revision surgery. I’m still recovering from all of this, and hoping to start the next leg (yep, it’s a pun!) of my journey soon, and move on to the prosthetic procedures. During all of this, my medical expenses have been ridiculous. Insurance alone is 30% of our household income, and that doesn’t include copays, deductibles, prescriptions, wound supplies, etc. My previous campaign was important in that it helped us to survive when we weren’t sure we’d make it, and we are eternally thankful. But we need continued help in order to make it and see this through to the end.
