Towable Tower Trailer

Donation protected
The Lake County Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service, Inc. is a volunteer Not-For-Profit organization that exist on membership dues and any donations we receive.

The Disaster Preparedness Project was created to improve our response to natural and manmade disasters. The services we provide to local, state and federal agencies would be greatly hindered if a disaster (Solar Storm, Tornado) occurred and destroyed the government equipment and facility we now use.

The mobile tower trailer we are trying to fund would allow us to recover from those disasters and provide backup radio communications to the resisdents of Lake County when a disaster occurs.

The trailer could be hauled to a disaster site to provide radio communications coverage throughout the county to provide Health and Welfare messages to family members outside the area that has been devastated (cell phone, landline and power would most likely all be out).

This will be on ongoing project that may take years to purchase all the radio equipment and hardware required to operate.

The $32,000 will be used to purchase a trailer mounted 100 foot crank up free standing tower which will greatly improve or radio coverage around Lake County.

Our organization also provides ground on eyes for the National Weather Service through our Skywarn® program and we are a Weather Ready Nation Ambassador. We provide reports directly to the NWS on weather conditions in Lake County.

The lake County RACES/ARES® organization would greatly appreciate your support and donations to help us achieve our goal to provide assistance to the residents of Lake County when a disaster occurs.

Thank you for your support.
