My name is Kelly. I am a friend and neighbour to Sarah. Together the people in our court wanted to assist Sarah with her fight and thought this would be the best way. We hope that the Ballarat community and others that live far and wide will help Sarah.

Sarah is a wife and a mother of two adorable little boys. Jake 5 and Levi 3 and she is just 36 years old.
Sarah has just been diagnosed with a rare tumour in her neck that has already unfortunately crept up into her brain.
Her treatment has commenced through hospitals in Melbourne and a team of surgeons are planning multiple surgeries to remove the tumour. Living in Ballarat (over 100km away) this increases costs on top of her medical expenses. Despite private cover, the out of pocket treatment costs will be extensive and will obviously be a financial strain on the family.
Being in Melbourne means Ash (her husband) is unable to work while he is by her side and supporting her lengthy recovery. At this stage the duration of treatment is unknown due to the complexity of her case.
Sarah’s hopes are, that throughout this journey she will have constant contact and regular visits with her boys. We as her friends and family will assist by ensuring that her boys will have regular visits to Melbourne to see her.
Through the donations received we hope to lessen the financial strain by helping with travel, accommodation, medical costs and general expenses for the boys.
This is devastating news for Sarah and Ash and they wish to limit the amount of information their boys are exposed to. Please be sensitive and respect their privacy.
