Ashland Painter Loses Everything in Almeda Fire

Jasmine Eldridge is organizing this fundraiser on behalf of Jonathan Wall It's hard to believe a week and a half has passed since the Almeda fire swept through our community changing everything in a matter of hours.  My friend Jonathan Wall, a painter in the Rogue Valley for the last 29 years, lost absolutely everything in the Almeda fire. It was a devastating fire that has taken so much from so many.  Jonathan left early that Tuesday morning for a painting job on the Oregon Coast. He parked his Dodge conversion van he also called home in front of the Two Stiffs Who Need Work paint shop on Lowe road, jumped in one of the work vans  and hit the road. At the same time a fire had been started in a nearby neighborhood. Strong winds that day caused the fire to rapidly spread. By the time Jonathan reached the coast the fire back home had been raging for several hours it showed no mercy. Nothing but bricks and ash were left of the paint shop. His home on wheels and all of his belongings gone. Now just a skeleton of melted metal remain. His motorized bike that he spent so much of his free time buliding completely turned to dust. Later we received the hard news that the flames had reached his storage unit in Talent completely torching his most loved possessions including the remainder of his tools and equipment he used to make a living. Like so many Jon didn't have insurance coverage. He was left, literally, with only the clothes on his back. As some may know it's not easy asking for help. So I'm now asking you if possible to show some support for Jon as he starts this new chapter like so many others right now . Please consider donating or even a simple share of this GFM page will greatly help in getting him back on his feet and doing what he does best painting!  %100 of the  funds will immediately go towards helping Jon find long term housing.
