Bruce was on a poker run on Saturday, 9/12/20, with several friends, and in an instant, he suffered a life threatening motorcycle accident. Somehow, he hit a guardrail and from that moment on, changed his life as he knew it. He was immediately rushed to Medical Center of the Rockies. Upon arrival at the scene, he was unresponsive and was bleeding from his head. He was rapidly assessed and the surgeon informed the family of his injuries. Bruce had suffered several points of Traumatic Brain Injuries, a broken shoulder and broken pelvis. He was then rushed into the ER for brain surgery which lasted about 5 hours. A section of his skull was removed, then blood clots and fluid were removed from his brain to treat the immediate issues. There are other areas of the brain that have been bruised, however, they wanted to wait to see how this procedure would impact the others. For those of you who are familiar with brain injuries, the swelling of the brain inside the skull is one of the most life threatening circumstances. It take several days for the extent of the swelling to appear, and when the brain is confined to the skull, it puts pressure on the brain and causes more damage, which in turns affects every aspect of bodily function. Needless to say, Bruce is in a severely critical situation at this time, and is fighting for his life. After surgery, he has been in a heavily sedated state, similar to a medically induced coma. He is being closely monitored in the Intensive Care Unit. He has had the best of care, and the most qualified surgeons overlooking his injuries and monitoring his vitals continually. He has been given medication to reduce the swelling in the brain, however, he is still in a critical state at this time. If you would like to make a donation toward the incredible medical expenses that have been incurred as a result of this accident, Bruce and his family will be ever so grateful for your kindness and generosity. Your prayers, hugs, and love are extremely valuable and appreciated as well! We will continue to post updates on his condition as often as possible, and again, your prayers are truly appreciated! We sincerely thank you for your support, and may God Bless you! The Davis Family
