Grandma loses home in Almeda fire

I’m starting this GoFundMe campaign for my mom, Donna Finkenbinder, who lost everything in the Almeda fire that devastated southern Oregon on 9/6/2020. including her 2 fur companions Gunner and Toby. Unfortunately when they began to evacuate my mom wasn’t home and wasn’t able to save anything from her home. All she has now is her faith in Christ and the clothes on her back.

My mom has been a woman of strong faith since she began attending the Set Free Christian Fellowship in Medford since 2015. She is a lifelong Oregonian having graduated from Butte Falls High School and Southern Oregon University. My mom is also a survivor. She has had kidney failure for 29+ years and undergone countless surgeries related to her kidney failure, including a recent surgery she is still recovering from. She has survived breast cancer and been in remission for 5+ years. She has now survived the Almeda fire. Through all of this mom never stopped giving to others. She has many times opened her home to people in need. Given food and money to those in need in her community. She has always put her friends, family, and community first.

Please if you can share this on whatever social media platform you have. I know during these difficult times asking for help is uncomfortable. I myself have never been comfortable asking for help, but sometimes a tragedy is bigger than you and you have no choice.
