We are Unmuted Stories.
In June of 2017, eight artists, educators, innovators and friends came together as a collective and founded a project-based, creative non-profit to shine a spotlight on the issues most important to us.
After ten months of thinking, creating, and collaborating, we believe Unmuted Stories is the means by which we can make a difference.
Our mission is to amplify the suppressed and their supporters through creative pursuits. But first, we need your help.
We have already raised over $15,000 on our own to support a research and aid trip to Southeast Asia. Now we are asking our family, friends, and supporters to match those funds. With this money we will be able to host a week long professional workshop for an original play focused on the ongoing Rohingya genocide in Myanmar, commission a trip and photo-book about the Jewish-Cuban experience, and continue developing our work focused on mass incarceration.
With the creation and execution of these projects, Unmuted Stories will become self-sustaining while also raising money for our partner non-profits.
