Our friend Destiny was in a horrific accident hauling horses from Wyoming on Friday when she hit black ice. She has fractured her spine in the middle of her back, & has a head injury. 1 horse is miraculously ok, 1 will heal, but sadly, a pregnant mare had to be put down. Truck & trailer are totaled.
We're reaching out because we know that Destiny goes above & beyond the call of duty for everyone & every horse (or any animal) she meets! She is extremely hard working & independent & we know it will be hard for her to accept help! But, she must in order to get the medical care she needs, & take the time necessary to heal! She can't do this without us!
You won't find anyone with a bigger heart than Destiny! She has rescued horses from bad situations, she's arranged for horses in trouble to be adopted & then hauled them cross country to new owners, worrying about the people & horses first & foremost, compensation comes later, if at all. She deserves to let us help her this time!
There will be many medical bills as a result of this accident, through no fault of her own. Destiny is self employed & does not have medical insurance, like so many of us! She will not be able to work for some time either.
I'm asking that each person who reads this please send what they can, even 5 or 10 dollars! If enough people do this, it will add up & help tremendously! Please give what you can, any amount will help! And, please share with your friends!
