Protect Queer BIPOC

All, it is with with gratitude and grace and humility thag I ask for financial assistance with legal fees I’ve accumulated as a result of my firm stance in the support of justice and liberation of marginalized and oppressed people during the struggle for Black Lives over the last several months. During the summer and early fall, I accrued 3 separate charges, two being felonies, and as a result my family and I now face approximately $5,000 in defense fees for my defense. Currently, I am a freshmen at the University of Iowa and working part time to chop away at the monetary obstacle in front of me, including student loans. Yet, I am more determined than ever to win my case and have an incredible lawyer ready and willing to fight with me along the way. However, I need your help!
