Black Owned Laundromat Acquisition

Donation protected
Hello my name is Tiffany Effort an I am a African American woman, looking to start my own business by taking over another profitable laundromat. A little about myself, I have been homeless 3 times in my life, and I have always struggled to keep work for more than a year. However there is a good reason, I have suffered from depression and bi polar disorder since a teenager, I am 31 years old now. I also have dealt with fighting suicidal thoughts and just not seeing the hope of life. So because of my mental health history, the past years of my work life have been impossible, I receive a livable check from disability that I do appreciate deeply and greatly. The problem is I can barely eat properly because my rent and phone bill takes up my check. I tried working part-time but it never last because I cant predict when my depression on bi polar disorder will cause a issue, sometimes I just can't out the door truly. Good News, having my own business that is semi absantee and does not require alot of overhead and employees and inventory and so much more, opens the door of me being able to stop fearing being homeless again or getting fired because even though I try so hard, an employer can only understand to a certain point, the kind of hell I live in. The laundry business will be helping alot of people, because it will stay a cash business so those who are homeless dont have to worry about the new laundromats that want to be tech savvy, and make all machines pay by smart phones and debit cards. There will be vending machines and atms and TV's in the establishment, also free coffee and water and snack bars to people who come in. For those who have been homeless, you might understand the difficulty of coming into a business and getting kicked out because you cant buy anything or you smell because you weren't able to wash up that day, or you just want a break from sitting out on the street, well my laundromat will not turn away someone just because they want free coffee and water and a snack, or its hot and they need to sit in air conditioning for there health. I truly hope you see the good I am trying to for myself and people who were in my situation, the worst thing about being homeless and with mental health issues was, the owners of businesses having a cold heart, those who have been homeless knows it means everything to have a warm hearted business owner you can rely, who will let you eat, drink, sit, and use the bathroom without yelling and screaming at you to get out. If i can reach this goal, it will change my life, and those in need who happen to come in my business will be treated with humanity and kindness.
