24-hour Warrior Run for Michelle
Donation protected
Michelle Anderson Ryan, 53, of Cocoa is an avid runner, hiker, backpacker, mountain biker, loving mother and wife. She is such an athlete, that her friends gave her the nickname of Wonder Woman.
Despite being an incredible athlete with no previous health concerns, last year Michelle was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer. What started as a cough and some back pain that she attributed to overdoing it at CrossFit class, she
eventually went to the doctor. After a series of tests over the next few weeks, she was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer in May 2019.
She has never been a smoker, she’s very fit and eats healthy. But here we are.
Over the past year, her friends and family have been by her side, trying to keep her spirits up while she undergoes Chemo and is now on her third set of treatments. This one, they say, will likely cause her to lose her long, black hair.
On October 9, 2020, her friends and family will run for 24-hours continuously through her neighborhood, with flags, signs of encouragement, music and food, to once again show their love and support.
The funds received will help with the costs of her medical care, living expenses and offer her peace.
