Jason Hamilton Memorial Expense Fundraiser

Jason Hamilton, known to some friends as J.L., has passed away after battling a serious brain tumor, which had been causing him headaches and neurological issues for quite some time. After falling unconscious one day in July he went into a coma and was predicted to only have a few days to live. Jason was a determined fighter and managed to hang on for several more weeks, at times emerging from his coma to communicate. On August 27th he passed away in hospice with his fiancée at his side. Jason was a dedicated student, a principled communist, a proud comrade of the Party for Socialism and Liberation, and a founding member and leader of the Socialist Rifle Association. He loved his fiancée Alex, science, his cat, and Kalashnikov platform rifles. His honorable legacy lives on in the organization he helped build and the people whose lives he touched as both an organizer and a friend. This fundraiser is intended to assist Jason's family with funeral and memorial expenses during this difficult time. If there are funds leftover or in excess of the family's needs, these funds will be donated to fund brain cancer research.
