Maria Sakhno Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA Type 1)

Hello ! I am Marina Vasilieva, I was born in Ukraine. For the last 10 years I have been living with my family in New York. I organized a fund to help my close friends to collect for the treatment of their 3 month old daughter Maria Sakhno, who is fighting for life with a diagnosis of Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) type 1. It is a progressive and rare genetic disease, unfortunately, the leading cause of infant death (SMA). Maria needs urgent treatment with Zolgensma, one of the most expensive drugs in the world. The price of this treatment is 2,341,750.00$ USD The only gene therapy infusion can help Maria and completely cure her. Without it, her life expectancy is a maximum of 20 months. Due to Covid-19, most of the fundraising events have been canceled and the family of Eduard and Darya Sakhno has no choice but to turn to the world for help. Each donation will go to help Maria Sakhno. The funds will be transferred by me Marina Vasilyeva from my account to the account of mother Daria Sakhno, since they currently live in Ukraine.
