Willow Harley Cancer Fund
Donation protected
Willow Ruth Harley was born on January 23, 2016. In early August, at just 6 months old, we noticed a complete paralysis of her legs, seemingly overnight. After rushing her from Hattiesburg to New Orleans via ambulance, oncologists at the Children's Hospital of New Orleans found a dumbell-shaped tumor (the size of a racquetball) attached and wrapped around her lower spine, and tests confirmed neuroblastoma Stage 3.
Despite this Earth-shattering news, all other tests revealed no spread of cancer to any other part of her body. The next year will prove challenging for Willow and the family, as she endures and fights through 8 rounds of chemotherapy.
Unfortunately, surgeons do not think Willow will regain use of her legs. With as much time to tumor has been pressed against the nerves and bloods vessels leading to her legs, doctors believe she will be paralyzed from the waist down permanently. However, we’re expecting #WillowTheWarrior will walk and run.
In- and out-patient care bills have already skyrocketed, so we are turning to crowd funding to help offset the costs of the extravagant medical costs already accrued.
The beauty of Willow is her strength and unshakable courage during this entire process. We are deeply humbled by the outpouring of love, prayers, and support for Willow. We very much appreciate every donation in our effort to provide the proper care to our baby girl.
