The Need

The Jazz Club of Sarasota is still suffering the lingering financial effects of the Covid 19 pandemic. After being closed for more than 18 months, the Club resumed activities in October 2021. We had a great season of performances, but our audience did not return in anything like their usual numbers. As a result, we ended the season with a very significant loss of funds.

The Goal

Raise $150,000 in 1 Day - Giving Tuesday, Nov. 29

With your support, we will meet that Goal. We know we can because of your generosity during our shutdown, starting with the cancellation of the 2020 Jazz Festival.

The Purpose

All the funds raised will be used to support Jazz Club performances. Costs associated with these events keep going up. For example, liability insurance for our music events has more than doubled over the last two years. Your donations will also keep ticket prices down so that attending a live performance is affordable.

What is GivingTuesday?

How will it work?

On Tuesday November 29, the week after Thanksgiving, a Giving Portal will be open for 24 hours where you can make your donation. It’s as simple as that!

Your donation will be processed through a secure GoFundMe account. Your name and donation will be listed, or you may choose to be listed as Anonymous. GoFundMe will retail a 2.2% + $0.30 processing fee. For example, if you make a $100 donation, the Jazz Club will receive $97.50.

Direct Contributions: You may also mail your contribution directly to the Jazz Club with a bank check or from any investment or foundation account you may have. No processing fees will be charged against direct contributions.
